Sir,
The bearer of this letter is Mr. Hin Wong, one
I am sending him to Canton
of our Chinese Correspondents. in response to the letter which Mr. Tsang Yeung Po, head of the Political Department, Military Headquarters, Canton, wrote to your good self and the contents of which have been
communicated to us by His Excellency the Governor of Hong Kong.
I understand that Mr. Tsang Yeung Po is desirous of being in-
troduced to the Editors in Canton of the Hong Kong papers
"in order to establish friendly relations and to exchange views"
Mr. Hin Wong makes his headquarters at Hong Kong
at the moment but he lived formerly in Canton, still has his private correspondents there and visits the City himself occasionally. He is thoroughly conversant with Canton politics and personalities as a few years ago he was one of the Editors
of the "CANTON TIMES" and the head of the Canton Information
Bureau. He had to leave Canton owing to conflict with Red
influence.
In the circumstances he seems to me an excellent
person to "exchange views" with Mr. Tsang Yeung Po, and if you can give him the introduction required to facilitate
